74 Highland is in the news! Go check out the full BOSTON.COM article by Scott Van Voorhis on March 27.

Van Voorhis reports that "developers in Boston and the suburbs are scrambling to keep up with the demand, retrofitting existing homes and building air-tight, heavily-insulated, and solar-panel-bedecked homes from the ground up."

In recognizing the importance of energy efficient homes for the environment, Urbanica has been proactive in designing and developing high performance projects like 226-232 E+ Highland Street, 74 Highland St eHomes and our upcoming transit oriented development (TOD) development at Parcel U |Forest Hills.

The article highlighted the key eHomes features like "double insulated walls and air tight construction, high performance triple pane windows, heat recovery ventilation, efficient ductless mini split air conditioning system, Energy Star appliances, and low-flow plumbing". In addition, each townhouse will be equipped with a sizable photovoltaic system to produce renewable energy.
